C.H.I.P.P. stands for Civitan Handicapped Intervention and Prevention Programs. Th e Michigan District Long Range Planning Commission decided that we needed something unique to Civitan which would encompass all of the
things we do and stand for.. C.H.I.P.P. is our answer. The Long Range Planning Commission has spent the last three years developing and obtaining a trademark on C.H.I.P.P.
"The mission of the Long Range Planning Commission is to annually develop and evaluate strategies and plans,
guiding the Michigan District towards the goals set forth in the Premier Action Plan." Michigan District supports Youth Seminar, Special Olympics, Big Heart Banquet honoring Special Olympic Coaches, Camp
Civitan - a camping experience for handicapped individuals. Our fundraising programs include Candy Box,Coin Box, Claxton Fruitcake, Big Cash Raffle and scholarships through
the Michigan District Civitan Foundation. Each club has the opportunity to participate in these program. Check with the local Civitan organization, the governor or
