Congratulations to Regional Director Robert Ingram for a GREAT Region One Meeting at Ft. Walton Beach on February 6-8.  We had good weather, there were some interesting programs, good entertainment, informative workshops, and wonderful fellowship with other Civitans.  Most important over $4000 was raised for the Foundation.  The hard work of several ACD Civitans, including Liza Abercrombie, Emily Hodges, and the Alex City Civitan Club insured the meeting ran smoothly.

The Final ACD Governors Roast was hosted by the Wilsonville Club on January 24th and generated $400 for the Foundation.  Future plans are to have a Governors Reception, similar to the Presidents Reception at CI Convention, at the ACD Convention.  Many thanks to Meeting Coordinator Donna Harper for her hard work in making this happen.

A new Junior Civitan Club at Mortimer Jordan High School was charted on February 4th.  Thanks to Robert E Lee and the Gardendale club for sponsoring the new Junior Club.  A special thanks to Merrily Serota for her continued hard work in developing Junior Civitan.

Congratulation to the Perimeter Club for successfully hosting it's first annual Blood Donation Drive on January 24th.  Some 20 units of blood was collected and the hope is that future drives will be even more successful.

The ACD Event Calendar has changes to some key dates.  The Spring Meeting is moved to May 16th to eliminate conflict with the Junior Convention and ACD District Meeting is moved to August 28-30 to take advantage of cheaper room rates.  A copy of the Calendar is attached.
